I should bring up ethanol. Your inclusion of bio fuels is perfectly pointed.

The cliff notes version of the dynamic is all you need to know. It takes 5 quarts of gasoline to make a gallon of ethanol …..

The question I have is what is the ultimate end goal of the people who are in charge. Climate change has developed sufficient momentum to where it cannot be stopped in time to avoid a mass extinction. The work of genius enacted by the Biden administration, IRA guarantees a climate change disaster and a collapse of society. There are good reasons that we are not currently living in an all electric society. Inefficient in a word. The policies contained in IRA are not even being followed as increased fossil fuel consumption is being approved and promoted by the government for the next few decades. Not forgetting his promise of increased consumer goods consumption and energy usage.

Sulfur hexafluoride is an interesting one. Given it's insulation properties it will be an ideal candidate for fast trip breakers needed to harden the grid from CMEs or EMPs. I can envision Taylor Swift promoting it's usage on stage extending her vocal range into the the bass region. While wearing her Nike Air sneakers on stage for increased bounce. The anesthesia property won't have much effect on her since she's already numb.

It will also be useful for inflation of EV tires since the weight of the vehicle will be double that of an ICE vehicle due to the batteries. The possibilities for it's usage seem limitless. It will take off just like Midgleys CFCs and tetraethyl lead!

And just a final comment. The NASA graphs show the beauty of mathamatics. The exponential curve doesn't look at all like raw data from measurements but a theoretical construct for a text book. So smooth and predictable.

Thanks again for the education.

Thank you, Toma for the reply!

The goal of those in charge, "The Owners of America," is to keep the loot flowing in as long as possible, then retreat to their secure compounds. They never cared about anyone else anyway. It's all about the money. The melting of the ice sheets began in the 1940s and once started it can't be stopped even by the most extreme "geoengineering." Formation of glaciers is a long, dry process, while melting them is a wet process that goes very quickly.

All I can say is that the bunkers are going to be absolutely worthless in the long term. If climate change runs unabated there will be nothing worth emerging to. Additionally, the equipment needed to keep them alive will break down. Then there is "cabin fever" which will be far more severe than in Alaska during the winter. The bunkers are only for short term habitation.

Warren Buffett said that "making money is just a game". It's what is being played now by the select few. We don't even qualify as pawns. We are completely sacrificial and the chosen few may even take great delight in the sacrifice. It's now going on in Gaza and Ukraine.

I can see no rational behavior in any of the world leaders. Which leads me to the worst case scenario. The masses are in for a severe shock very shortly.

How deeply and loudly the walls of the well vibrate.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Toma.

The underground or above-ground secret compounds and bunkers will not extend human suitability and survival range. From the perspective of psychology and social psychology alone, the owners of these bunkers believe it will be like a friendly stroll and wait, similar to an experience at the Apple Store; when in fact, given the increasingly individualistic nature of our society, particularly among its upper echelons, tensions will inevitably arise before the tenth meal between the 'servants' and the 'served'.

I pondered this the other day: once a trait or knowledge of someone who belongs to the servant class becomes essential, the served will become the servant. (I could not help but laugh with delight at how true the rationale behind this thought is.)

This scenario represents just another stage of the "game" for them, as you have aptly noted. Yet, the reality is far more colorful and brutal.
