Remove War from the human toolkit

As The West tip-toes along their chosen path to WW-III, any chance of avoiding the Final Confrontation slips further away. In a previous post I suggested a possible path to peace. That was before the diplomatic errors of the Biden administration had become too obvious to ignore. To understand all that, you must read Jeff Rubin’s book, A Map of the New Normal, on how Biden’s “sanctions” have totally reworked the world order and set “The West” on a path to irrelevance. As one critic has said, Biden has been on the wrong side of every issue for the past fifty years. In that path-to-peace post, I was thinking that in the world order we used to know, there would be significant diplomatic value in trading the Western stance of NATO for a better definition of national sovereignty. But the balance of power in the world has shifted greatly so such diplomatic weight no longer exists.

And now, we have Biden, again on the wrong side of an issue, allowing US weapons to be targeted on Russia, and the UK might also follow suit. There is a name for this - it’s called WAR.

One cannot accuse another country of illegally invading another, AND THEN take up that same activity in return. Oh, I forgot, nobody goes by the UN Charter anymore, regarding attacking another country being illegal unless you are under attack. USA and UK are NOT under attack, duh. So this activity is illegal and stupid and reprehensible.

Therefore under these new circumstances, I must propose an alternative solution for peace.

The rhetoric of The West has always been that Russia (almost by definition) is the aggressor. But look at the map! Which country is surrounded by which other’s hegemony? That is Russia, surrounded. How would you feel if the situation were reversed?

The most practical solution is that all these countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine must be neutral, a DMZ (De-Militarized Zone).

Following that, then all of Europe could make progress on agreements for security and cooperation, without interference by The Hegemon. Why must The West (USA and Canada) be denied interference in Europe? Because they have artificial governments which can never be trusted - every four years a different ideologue can step in and reverse progress on any issue. The US especially will break any treaty or agreement whenever it wants without recourse, since they are supposedly “exceptional.”

To wit:

Bill Clinton walking away from promises to not expand NATO:

From an article in Intellinews reporting on 1990 events:

“… another batch of declassified cables and Western foreign ministry reports – and now freely available on the internet – and include a report by US Secretary of State James Baker, who said that he personally promised Gorbachev and Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze that Nato would expand “not one inch” to the east on at least four occasions. Multiple other Western leaders made the same promise, the documents show. Gorbachev’s mistake is that he never got those promises in writing which were ignored following the collapse of the Soviet Union.”

 “Clinton stopped short of earlier promises made by US Secretary of State James Baker in 1990 to former General Secretary of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev that Nato would not expand “one inch” to the East.

During a meeting in Finland two years before the first former Warsaw bloc country joined the military alliance, Yeltsin explained to Clinton Russia’s concerns about possible Nato expansion and Russia being adamantly opposed to enlargement. "Our position has not changed. It remains a mistake for Nato to move eastward," Yeltsin told Clinton.

Yeltsin stressed that Nato's enlargement should not include former Soviet republics, particularly Ukraine. "I cannot sign any agreement without such language. Especially Ukraine," he added.”

NATO began expanding eastward in 1999.

The Biden administration follows Brzezinski’s geostrategic blueprint, which supports Ukraine including attacks on Russia.

Therefore, walk blindly into war or do the heavy lifting required of actual Peace.
